Always Thankful (Plus a Giveaway!)

*Crafty Creations*
I've been busy crafting  a few things! I'm still working on the little rocking chair that I posted a couple weeks ago. (Link Here). It has been put back together, sanded, stained and ready for a coat of poly! Should only be a few more days until it's ready to be upholstered! I can't wait for the big reveal!
I've also up-crafted a wooden serving platter that I used to have hanging in my apartment when I first got married. I decided that I didn't have enough monograms of our family name in the house, so I turned it into one! I'll put the how to on the DIY page! (Check it out here!) I've been working on several crafts! I'll be sure to post about them this week so check back to take a look!

(It was still drying when I took the pic!)

*Thanksgiving Dinner*
So of course my mom always prepares the Thanksgiving meal! But now that my (little) family is going gluten free I have been updating a few recipes. Instead of normal stuffing (which my husband cannot have) I made regular unsweetened corn muffins (using my own recipe) and added cooked celery and onion, sage, poultry seasoning, chicken/turkey stock and wahlah, fake out stuffing muffins! He loved them! Actually we all did. They were part of dinner tonight, roasted whole chicken and cheesy potatoes.

(Dinner tonight with my boys!)

  9. What a sweet giveaway gift! We are all looking forward to some warm snuggling in the winter months. I would be thrilled to win this. And for a favorite dish, I'm going to make Waldorf salad to go with my big dinner. It's easy...just apples, celery, mayo and walnuts! It's so good with leftover turkey, too! Thanks!

  10. I've been following you for awhile. How can I choose one dish? I think that the thing I'd miss most if it weren't there is the turkey. Other than that, pecan pie with vanilla ice cream. No, sweet potato casserole. No, oh my I'm just going to stop typing!

    Blessings from Harvest Lane Cottage,
    Laura

  11. I am a recent follower. It is tough to pick just one favorite... I think I would have to say my Mom's turkey. It is super moist and no one can make it like Mom!
